Died in 1960.
I was told he dropped dead  suddenly while shaving.
As they say, "wagons of wood and men of iron".

I was working on Beatty-Cole when Steve Fanning came around and said Mr Reed had died. Doesn't seem like fifty-two years ago.

Louie was still associated with RBBB in 1958 in some manner as he took the eight elephants up to Charles Garvin's place in Bowling Green, KY., stayed a good while to show them the ropes then headed back to Sarasota. This is recorded in the book Charles Garvin's Dynasty of Dimes.
