Forepaugh Rat Sheet On the "rat sheet" lithograph above, PT Barnum compared his rival Adam Forepaugh to a bullfrog who would brag and puff himself up so large that he would eventually explode. This half-sheet from the Tibbals collection dates from the same period when Forepaugh and Barnum were going at it tooth-and-nail. The message here is clear - Forepaugh is the biggest of all showmen (including Barnum, Hutchinson and other rival circus owners...)
