Yes it's "Sid" who killed trainer W.J. "4Paw Patsy" Meagher in April of 1900 while the show was in Madison Sq. Garden.

No the elephant executed in the Garden closing day was another 4-Paw bull named "Dick".
"Sid" survived for another four years but met the same fate at the Columbus Winter Quarters 12/20/04.
