From Wade Burck

Woodcock, what give's here? Why doesn't the last elephant, (that would be the one closest to you,) have it's foot up for the trunk/foot salute? Were you so busy honing that truck over the neck deal, that you didn't notice? :) Was this sometime in the 1950's?
Wade

"These are the elephants I took to Garden Bros. Circus in 1957 for Paul Kelly, the picture was taken on the Hagen Bros. lot on the way back.
This had been an end ring act with the Cole Bros. Circus for many years and dated back to the Wm. P. Hall Farm in the 1920's.
Their names were "Nellie", "Jennie" and "Lazy Leg Wilma".

Buckles,
"Lazy Leg Wilma!!!!!!" Was that really her name, or just your patch for the leg not being up. It's good though. Next time someone asks me "why doesn't that tiger sit up with his feet high like the other ones," I will just respond, "Oh, him? That's Slump Shouldered Sid...." :)

I hope you are well,
Wade Burck
