From Vincent Manero #1

From Buckles:
"I started out posting this beautiful set of  photos from Mr. Manero but being unfamiliar with the venues and some of the artists, I quickly became befuddled trying to match the pictures with the text.
So I included his original post and I'm sure Vincent and others can put things in order."

Hello Mr. Woodcock,

I'm just back from a short trip to Belgium where I visited the Cirque Alexandre Bouglione and the
Festival du Cirque de Namur. Both shows were excellent with many first class Animal acts.

Cirque Alexandre Bouglione
« Viva Latino ! » in the city of Brussel next to the Atomium :

- The Saabel Family from Italy presented a well
choreographed Alta Scuola with three Friesians and three Andalusians horses. They also presented a very original dog
act direct from the North Pole.
- Sandro Montez from Germany worked a dynamic six Friesians liberty with several
complex tricks. He also presented a four camels liberty act that the Bougliones just acquired from a German show.
Sandro is a talented Animal trainer who had the chance to work with many different kinds of animals from dogs and
horses to giraffes, rhinos and elephants.

Festival du Cirque de Namur in the city of Namur:

- Ilona Knie presented
the Hungarian Post in opening of the performance.
- Adriana Folco presented her well known solo Elephant act with Baby.

- Alessio Fochesato from Italy, probably the best parrot trainer in Europe presented his eight macaws. They do many
original tricks compare to the classical routines you usually see in parks including flights all around the big top.
-
Louis Knie Jr. presented a fast and elaborated liberty act with ten Friesians and Arabians horses.

The Atomium is the only remaining structure and the symbol of the 1958 Brussels World's Fair.

It is a gigantic model of an iron crystal with nine atoms, which represent Belgium's nine provinces.

Or something like that.

Still more events not included on Chic's tour.
