George "Deafy" Denman

(While in the Baraboo Library, I came across the single name "Deafy" listed as a menagerie hand in the Sells Bros. 1891 Route Book, the last year of their Australian tour.)
1899-93 Sells Bros. Circus
1894-95 W.B. Reynolds Circus
1896-97 Robinson & Franklin Shows
1898-08 Barnum & Bailey
(5 years in Europe with B&B, presented an act 1900-03, 1906-08)
1910-11 Forepaugh-Sells (Ringling owned)
1912-18 Ringling Bros. Circus
1919-33 Ringling-Barnum
(Died in 1937)

Might this be the same "Deafy" mentioned in John Herriott's GAZOONIE???
