Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
This was a combined hippo-rhino cage semi. The rhino (African black) was in the front and the hip, Miss Oklahoma, was in the rear. She had to be there so she could get out to appear in her walkarounds under the big top.I never saw the old K-M outfit and wonder if the opposite or left side of the trailer was painted up to advertise the hip.As far as I know this is the only circus wagon or semi to ever carry both a hip and a rhino.
