Wow not much going on shown here

Gonna be harder to get repeat biz

from a lineup like this

It will be interesting to see how

the NY press treats them this year

Caught the show the last day in Virginia before leaving for NY. Worth the price of admission just to see the slack wire act! Good show, miss Grandma!

Caught the dress rehearsal and thought it was terrific needing no changes and the order here appears the same. In the past, Big Apple often went through major reworking so this is a credit to Guillaume Dufresnoy who's faced major challenges these last couple of years as the new head of the show. Everyone was wowed by the first half and that's not to diminish the second half. Chinese bike act is very good but perhaps not the strongest closer. Contortion act is very stylish; slack wire is, as noted by Carl Bly, absolutely outstanding with tricks rarely attempted in the west. The clowns are different from what we usually see in the US but really quite amusing in some of their appearances. Eggroll is a great, whimsically engaging ringmaster and delightfully costumed! So, too, is Jenny Vidbel in her nice liberty horse number of six horses and six ponies. This year's production really is a great show!
