More Cole Show #1



To those of you who read the text, the man at right is Blackie Allen of whom I elaborated yesterday.
I lifted this 1937 Cole Show picture from Bev Kelley's "Fun By The Ton".

This is West 44th Street just East

of Broadway diagonlly across from

my office & that Royalton Hotel is

1 of the few remaining old timers

This picture was taken in 1937 while the Cole Show was brashly playing the New York Hippodrome for a few weeks in early March ahead of the Ringling Shows' Garden engagement.

The Hippodrome was between 43 & 44

on 6th Avenue so this was just down

the street from the building & the

Avenue would have been to busy
