Walter was from the same side of Nashville where I grew up, although I didn't know him until we were both with the circus.

Walter and Ruth were with the Edmondo Zacchini family for years doing both the cannon and trapeze and Walter also had his "Mr Bell" chair act. He retired some years ago and worked at a union stagehand here until his death a year or two ago.

One of their daughters was killed doing a bungee jump maybe fifteen years ago. .

It was Laura (Dinky) Patterson who

was killed on January 23rd in 1997

on a 2nd practice braided shock cord

(bungy) jump in the Superdome as a

result of "operator error" a very

long story that I know in detail as

the FBI tracked me down in Newark

airport while changing planes to get

me to come to New Orleans to help

determine the cause of the accident

She was 43 years old at the time

Greetings from Budapest (as of today)

Had a great day at the Antwerp zoo

yesterday & will send story & photos

Chic: Antwerp to Budapest is a long jump - who booked this route anyway?
