He became so difficult to handle that he remained at the Culver City winter quarters for several seasons.

I might assume Tusko somehow lost over half his Ivory Tips during one of his stays back at the Winter Quarters - where & when he then aquired his first set of Iron Accroutrement as a replacement from then on, then LATER requiring The More Sufficient Bale Ring Gear

The Coral looks more suited for a Giraffe to me & kind of frail for
