I lifted this from a July-Aug. 1969 Bandwagon Article.
So the progression would be Hiram, R.Z. (Arzy), my mother, myself and the kids.
Not that many generations considering the amount of time involved. Five?

As I mentioned Buckles the rule of

the flack game seems to allow the

sum of both parents generations

Just ask Jack Ryan how he counts

Well then Brigadier even without

counting Lady Barbara's legions

that would make Kay & Jamie 6th

As I used to say, "One of my antecedents Miles Orton owned a big railroad show when the Ringlings were wearing wooden shoes in McGregor, Iowa!".
We trouped with circuses thru rain and sunshine consecutively for 150 years. That all ended in 2003.

Maybe you weren't included, and you know how I would hate to embarrass you, but in the immediate pre-blog era, Buckles generated a steady barrage of fascinating e-mails on circus and elephant history to a very select coterie, just the absolute elite you understand. At some point he learned the basics of blogging and this site was born.

Way back before the e-mail age, Buckles favored a few of the finest people with letters and cards listing the careers of various elephants and trainers. The undersigned (ahem) was always glad to receive these and still treasures a thick folder of them.

Well that certainly put me in my

place Mr Dave Price FOB (friend of

Buckles) & clearly I was on the

wrong list (yet again)

At that stage of the game all I knew was if I had someones eMail address you could send him or her a picture but I had no idea you could send it to more than one person at a time.
So I would tediously go down my list and send out the picture of the day until it got up close to 100 when I suddenly got shut down.
Shannon explained that it had somehow been recognized as a commercial enterprise which wasn't allowed.
So he put the Blog together.
In those early days I usually get a thank you, from each recipient, Kenny Feld included.
