Our elephants are trained in "free contact". That means that elephants and humans share the same space and are not separated by a barrier. With our trainers standing by directing the elephants our veterinarians can get a close-up look and have access to every part of the elephants' bodies. We are very happy to report that all the elephants are as healthy as they are beautiful. BTW - they got carrots instead of suckers for being such good patients.
