I could never understand a 9 mile

jump on such an enormous operation

Surely the sponsers could have been

able to get together on these dates

Shows used to play "the Chicago lots," "the Detroit lots" or "the Los Angeles lots" and hit several communities that may have been close on the map but considered themselves separate towns or at least distinct neighborhoods.

Once Ted Bowman asked me to check on several Gentry Bros dates here and I found that they had played four different stands right here in Nashville. Of course much of this was before sponsored dates with phone promotions.

The Lake Geneva date was at the Playboy Club there.

advance & was treated royally

I still have the "Lifetime" Gold

(metal) Playboy Club Card that was

good at all their clubs for years

Was sure sorry when they closed

Living in Northbrook at the time, I remember the lot well. It was on the front end of Underwriters Labratories property.

ago this coming week & I just got

the mail a few days ago (will send)
