My mother was the youngest of her generation of Ortons and called "The Baby" and eventually "Babe". Not bad with dogs and ponies. She described this trick to me as the pony going into a camel stretch while the dog would back upward and sit up on his rump. For some reason she favored Spitz dogs. This picture taken in 1918 when she was only 16. The costume quite picturesque, maybe red and yellow were the only colors she had. |

How many generations back was your
mother's family in show business
I believe you said that your dad
was the first in his family
I think many show families add the
2 sets of generations together to
come up with promotional material
I'm trying to determine just how
many generations Kay & Jamie could
claim legitimately if they were to
ever foolishly decide to perform
Perform hell, they could have first counts on some show and still carry on the tradition.
