William Woodcock Sr. #3

SAVE0217 by bucklesw1
SAVE0217, a photo by bucklesw1 on Flickr.
Written on the back:
"Woodcock home in Portales, N. Mex. about 1905.
Charles and Matte Woodcock with infant son Col. Wm. Howard Woodcock."

Actually the Woodcocks lived in Hot Springs, Ark. but due to Charles asthmatic condition spent part of each year in New Mexico.

I seem to recall sometime back you

mentioned your mother would add

color to photographs such as this

That looks like some of her handiwork.

Could that windmill have operated

Buckles,
Babe must have been a great hand colorer as that takes talent and a real steady hand to do it.
That picture looks amost like a true life painting.
One has to admire someone with that much talent and the time involved in doing it.

No I never knew any of my grandparents.
Considering there are only 728 trees in all of New Mexico they were fortunate to have a few.

Do you recall the street address of this home? Go to "Live Search" and put it in. Perhaps the house is still there.
