I first met Johnny in '68, on Miller-Johnson, at Governor's Hall, in Sacramento. He reminisced with me about his Beatty show years, and still lamented the loss of his magnificent liberty horse act, when they went to slaughter after Beatty's bankruptcy.

I hope Johnny did well with his show. He certainly flashed a beautiful ring curb.
