06-04-2012 04;20;09PM, a photo by bucklesw1 on Flickr. I saw the elephant act from front to back at Minneapolis in 1948 but don't remember these hats. But I also recall it was raining so they may have been omitted. The elephant at left still wearing her German headpiece.
