From Roger Smith #6

With tiger cubs, 1956

On his 61st birthday, on June 10, 1964, in Meriden, Connecticut, Boom-Boom Browning
led the band in playing "Happy Birthday" for Mr. Beatty, as he exited the cage. No one
knew it would be for the last time.

just above this photo was the

caption "Clyde Beatty wears two

For the eagle-eyed, there is something of interest in this photo. He is wearing regular trousers with a street-wear belt, in place of his jodphurs and gunbelt set.
