Tex had his Infamous Lamay Pants even in '74, WoW! Last time I saw Tex he was working at a Standard Bred Horse Farm in Southern Wisconsin and he told me his Brother had won the Lottery, He also with a Big Happy Grin on his Face said "And He is Sharing some it also!!"..Always liked Tex..
John Strong's Winterquarters were right next to us at Jungleland, in Thousand Oaks. On one particular 2a.m., I took Chuck Hayes home there after a long night at the Rice Paddy, Jungleland's favorite watering hole. Upon departing, I missed Strong's driveway, backed over his prized heliotropes and wound up in his bar ditch with my headlights searching outer space. When Chuck could breathe after laughing himself silly, he harnessed Neena and had her pull me out. When our office opened, "The Man With More Friends than Santa Claus" stormed in, demanding I be fired and run out of town, only to find himself surrounded by staffers gasping with hilarity.
