Buckles I have a question for you. I saw an old post here about Jack Bennett's book "Nothing Funny about a dead Elephant". You mention corresponding with him. I believe Jack might be a friend of my family that we knew years ago when he was a young man. We knew he was a trapeze artist in the circus. Can you tell me if this Jack is the son of George & Savannah Bennett and is from Paul's Valley, OK? If so I am definately going to have to buy this book. Thanks Terry

From Buckles,
Jack and I were indeed good friends but I know very little of his background.
I have a picture of him I'll try to find of Jack and a new born pony colt that I have missplaced.
In the meantime here he is with the prop crew on Kelly-Miller in 1951.

Thank you so much Buckles for the picture. Could you please tell me which one is Jack? I hope you find the other picture of Jack with the Colt I would love to see it and send it to my mom. I did order the book "Nothing funny about a dead Elephant". I found it on one of the online old book stores. If there are any stories about Jack you would like to share I would love to hear them. Thanks so much and god bless! Terry

Do you mean the guy with the cap right behind the bass drummer and the base drummers large bow tie is in front of his shirt where his buttons would be.
