This is horrible to see but it shows us what life for many elephants living in the wild has become. Similar instances due to human/elephant conflict are happening all over Asia, not just in Vietnam. Elephants living free in the wild is not the idyllic life the animal rights people make it out to be. I pray there are beautiful places left with elephants roaming free, eating lush grass and playing in waterfalls but this is what I am seeing more and more of in news reports from Asian countries. ~Kari |

Glad you posted this, the world needs to see the reality. The conservation and governmental organizations efforts are horribly fractured. My hope is for all the elephants left on the planet be rounded up and sent to Nebraska or central states to roam with the buffalo and live under armed guard. It's possibly the last safe place on the planet. Where do I write to start the process?

mackeytableforone need's to have a reality check also, don't worry about the world. They are going to die from natural cause's as it appears this one has, where ever they are, whom ever is watching over them. It's a natural process making room for young healthy animals. If not they become overpopulated and overgraze their habitat which leads to starvation. Their only option then is to elect a liberal Democrat as President, go on welfare and start receiving food stamps, hospitalization and other entitlements provided by wealthier species of animals.
