A new Florida requirement??? Not really a bad idea.

What is putting a sign on the truck supposed to do, caution people not to come close? So much for pulling into a truck stop for the night and parking "incognito."

Are there really 12 tigers in the

act or is this the truck number

From an emergency responders point of view, it is a good idea to know what a truck's cargo might be in case of an accident and the driver is unresponsive. The same idea is in place for trucks carrying hazardous materials. Juergen even agrees with that.

Yes the cargo load is 12 tigers.

Are all 12 in the act Jimmy

or just in the "cargo load"

I think the semi carries 12, and there is a gooseneck "beast wagon" that carries 3 or 4 young ones. I think the act is 12 tigers...11 standard, one white.

Jimmy,
Well there you go. I Juergen agrees then I guess it is signed, sealed, and delivered. How are other animal truck's similarly labeled? Cows, horses, pigs, chickens?

Wade, You best contact Florida Game and Fish Commission for that answer. I did not write the law, only thought it was a good idea. Tigers certainly qualify as "hazardous cargo".

Juergen told me he was instructed to do so last year when the show came back into Florida. Seems someone should have given them a little advanced notice on this new regulation. I have yet to see it on any other exotic animal trucks.

On many trucks that carry "hazardous cargo" (fuels, chemicals, explosives) the signs (required by DOT) are interchangable.

Having been a firefighter for over 22 years, I know the importance of getting as much info as possible when you roll on an accident scene involving a truck.

Even Nixon would agree with that! LOL

I was the marketing director for the Palm Coast, Florida stand last season, and had to find some place to get those signs made in a hurry.
The number does designate the number of cats. There was one for the other truck with a "4" on it.
