Movin' On #1

Mr. Woodcock,Good morning from an old circus fan and avid reader of your blog. I hope you and yours are doing well today. Yesterday, Feb.20 I was watching the RTV network and caught an old episode from 1975 of the show "Movin On" starring Claude Akins and Frank Converse. The episode was entitled. "The Elephant Story" and featured guest stars Keenan Wynn and an elephant named Anna Mae. Am I correct in assuming this was you Anna Mae? If so, was the police officer she lifted in the air someone with you or one of the stunt men? They didn't show his face. Thanks for keeping the blog going.Yours,Lance Shockley

From Buckles:
We were at the Ringling Theme Park and I was contaced by Irvin Feld saying that the "Movin' On" producers were looking for an elephant to complete an episode that had come to a halt up in Charlotte. Can't remember why but they were at a point where they were trying to get by with rubber trunks and feet.
We had nineteen elephants at the Park so it was no problem sparing our elephant "Anna May" for a couple of weeks.

That was a nice way to spend my lunch hour. No credit to Anna Mae or Buckles, just Rincling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows.
