02-24-2012 07;13;16PM, a photo by bucklesw1 on Flickr. Smokey and "Anna May" in 1965. He kept her that year until I could make room for her on the Polack show. In fact he and Trudy Strong were the last people to work "Woodcock's Performing Elephants". Smokey's elephant empress on a few other dates that summer was Evy Karoly. This picture was taken in St. Louis where Bev Kelly had brought Anna May in to appear in an outdoor producion of "Around the World in 80 Days".
