From Brad Timberlake

Buckles,

I had learned today from his family that Ralph Gifford passed away in Hugo last night. Ralph and I became good friends and good business acquaintances over the past several years while he and his billposting street teams did work for me and other members of the Feld Entertainment Marketing & Sales Team. I’ve not met another individual any more passionate about their work than Ralph. He always took great pride in the job he did for us in each and every city, and it showed…..his teams sold a heck of a lot of tickets everywhere they went. He was a valuable member of our marketing team. I will miss the friendship and the jackpots. My very best wishes and condolences to Susan and the family.

Brad

Very sorry to hear of Ralph's passing as he was the last of the real old time billposters still with it.
I had the pleasure to help him posting in past years and to hear some of his jackpots from the past.
One year they were billing Orange, Texas for Carson and Barnes and got gasoline before starting and there was water in the gas. So none of the bill cars worked.
We loaded up in my car and did billing for the show.
Our hearts are with you Susan and family.

I, too, had the pleasure of accompanying Ralph on Carson & Barnes billing runs and hearing his many stories. As late as last week, I got one of his periodic phone calls wanting to know "what's going on."
Just prior to signing on with Feld several years ago, Ralph told me that his dream, before he died, was to "bill for The Greatest Show On Earth." He was very proud of his association with Ringling Bros.
Ralph and Suzie fulfilled that dream mightily.
