Good shot of the act. Pat Anthony had come on the lot after service as a paratrooper, in WW II. Bill Johnston also got out of the service and was picked up at the bus station by Louis Goebel, who wanted to make sure Bill didn't join out elsewhere. As the first trainer to apprentice under the GI Bill, Pat was vigorously mentored by John C. "Chubby" Guilfoyle, and benefitted from the influences of Benny Bennett and Mabel Stark. In such an atmosphere, in the heyday of World Jungle Compound, this fine-looking act was imminently representative.
