In 81 I did the special effects

for yet another Broadway mystery

that flopped after only 4 months

"A Talent For Murder" at the then

Biltmore theater starred Claudette

Colbert & Jean Pierre Aumont both

of whom were delightful people

I'm surprised to hear that, I read somewhere that everyone, her husband included, addressed her as Miss Colbert.

She was getting on in years & was

living in the Bahamas "retired"

so she seemed grateful to have an

opportunity to be back on Broadway

(but not for very long)

Until the day she died, my grandmother referred to my grandfather as "Mr Price."

I remember the day she said, "My best friend has died," and when someone asked who she replied, "Mrs Palmer."

She was a child of the eighties, and I don't mean those eighties of just a couple of decades ago.

I still carry her picture in my billfold.
