"NUM SEK" #1 (From Don Koehl)

Buckles, Im having a fantastic time, travelling around Asia, and
wanted to share some pictures of one of Thailands elephants heroes.

Heres one of Surins most famous elephants, Num Sek, owned by Pu Jay
Mau Sabmak in Surin.
The pictures were taken at Surin Stadium during this years elephant
roundup and festival, when
Num Sek was starring King Naresuans elephants during the war between
Burma and Ayutthaya.

A familiar picture.
The elephant man's wife complaining that he'd better not tie off the guard rope to the house trailer like he did in the last town.
I once paid a price for not heeding that warning.
