Johnny: You're right that Pete used the Wallace title and you're right that Diano had his own title out, but Ben used Wallace before Pete (after he used Campa), and then was partners with Diano for a time. Here are some posters that illustrate the title changes. They all feature Singh, who of course was a fixture around Ben's shows for years, and Emma Valdes. The Campa one also includes little Erma Campa.
I believe the Campa poster is 1951, the Wallace 1952 and the Diano 1953. Funny thing, Ben used the Dailey title on that shopping Center show, the same title he had tried to put behind him a few years earlier.
Hank or Henrietta was with Corky's small shopping center unit in 1961 when she killed a town guy and was put down in San Angelo. Corky kept her in the truck except briefly when he would take her out and work her. He had a grill-type door so you could see her and she could see out but it gave the impression of her being in jail. I was billing in the valley with Kitzman for Jack Moore that spring and saw them in Crystal City just a few weeks before the incident. Hank came to the Dailey show with the Wiers elephants, a group of about six that he bought in the early 1940s.
And now for the youngsters, here's a little quiz: Whose statue is in the park in Crystal City, Texas?

In 1952 we had a 24 Hour man with K-M named Tommy Thompson.
While arrowing the show one evening, he passed by the Wallace Bros. lot and decided to catch the show.
When he returned to his pick-up and trailer he discovered that all the wheels were gone.
Frantically he went Ben who apologized and took him to the pie car and later when he returned, found that the tires had magically reappeared.
Years later while this event was being discussed, D.R. laughed and said that the next time he saw Ben he brought subject up and he replied, "It was just a joke."

In 1950 I rode with some Cole Show hands in the pick up "gilly" with no painting on it to visit Dailey Bros. and after the show we went to load up and found a number of spare tires missing from the back. We went up front to Ben and he had the hands get the tires and bring them back with a big Ben personalit laugh. What can you say. tanglefoot

I remember seeing that trailer on James-Cristy and it was awful like a big prison cell and Corky had to leave her in it until time to perform a single routine and he unloaded her marched her into the ring did the simple routine marched her right back and loaded her and wiped all the sweat off his face.He had tp scyke himself up every show. What a way to live. What and give up showbiz?

I heard that "Dog Red" was the only guy on Daily Bros. that could get around her, so it was amazing that she did not down Corky. He sure had alot of guts. tanglefoot

I thought that was Nemo that only Dog Red could work.

Hold it down, folks. The kiddies are trying to answer the quiz question and win any item off the 2nd shelf.

You there- the little boy in back- what do you think the answer is?

Benito Juarez? No, I'm so sorry; good guess though.

None of this 2nd ahelf crap

I want the big bear on the top

(At least he was there long ago)

I didn't know until this very day that Chic had been with the mudders down in the valley; possibly he had the jam auction with one of Little Bob's outfits.

Chic is right and Popeye is the statue (Crystal City is the Spinach capital of the world).

I'm so sorry but the big bear is for display only- how about this nice plaster Donald Duck?

The plaster duck is worth more than the bear today!

If I wasn't concerned about the

kiddies sitting in the straw I

would tell you what you could

do with your duck Whitey

Pat Anthony would have told you

I will take that as a polite negative.

However, see the comment Bob Kitto made.

To Whitey; You are right about Dog Red and Nemo. My old mind was playing games with me and when I saw your comment I came back in focus. Thanks for keeping me honest.Johnny. I believe Nemo was a tuskless male. Am I right? Also seems he was kind of small for a asian male. Maybe like "Billy Sunday"
