The show carried nine elephants, five included in the 1943 Russell Bros. sale to Concello, three owned by Clyde Beatty that he acquired from Cole Bros. in lieu of back wages in 1938 and Jack Joyce's "Lucy" purchased from the Lincoln Park Zoo (Los Angeles) in 1941. |
