"Well, the Blog went a lot better today, Shannon switched me from "Picasa" back to "My Pictures" however on the bad news side, I paid my Property Taxes yesterday, up $800 from last year."

I really feel sorry for you, $800 for taxes. My property tax for last year was over $2000, for a small lot with a tract house.

No, I meant an additional $800 over last year.

Which means that you are 1 of the

very few whose property went up

in value Buckles while most of us

watch as ours fall unbridled

CHEAP. Try living on a small plot in Bergen County NJ.

Sincerely,

$2,448.40 per quarter

Those elephant tubs look awfully familiar... ah, yes... the entrance to the Woodstock Estate. (By the way, are they still considered 'tubs' if they don't hold water?) ~frank

On the subject of taxes... Is $800 over last year really all that much when you see all of the improvements that have been made to the beautiful hinterland of Ruskin?

My house assessment is currently $85,000, but a similar house in my block (in better shape)just sold for $68,000. The recession is not over by any means.

I wonder how much the franchise for a combination Hooters-Crispy Creame would cost?
I could set it up on the back forty.

As long as you spell it like that

the donut shop won't cost much but

Reminds me of Tommy Cooper's 500

license plates that read Ringing

Bros that he had to do over

If you wanted to use the Krispy

Kreme title it would be costly

I can't imagine that you could

get your 1st idea past the Empress

How about a just a big mud pit for

pig (or lady) wrestling

Anyway, I'd probably get some heat from the almost completed church across the street.
I thought I might work the blow offs on Sunday afternoons.

Them would sure be ripe for the

pickin but perhaps a family type

garbage & grab joint would work

Kay & Jamie would slaughter em

but you'd never get a fair share

Maybe you and Chic can start a BBQ joint there or better yet how about a jam auction (of course you can only do that once in a while).

Buckles -

I don't know if you remember the bruhaha over opening the Hooter's on Brandon Ave/SR 60/Adamo Drive about 15 years ago. We were fairly new to the area and you would have thought that a brothel was moving in next to the church parking lot. ~frank
