My Mother was not a big fan of pads being used on the "Bare-Back"? horse act's
Never the less I saw a clip of this act on YouTube and it sure bears watching. By far "The best Riding act I have seen in Years"
Great photos Don. Thank you for posting them on the circus blog of blogs.
seems like this family are keeping this wonderful art alive and they "do it all". I agree with Jimmy and his mother but then for years going way back the horse tent-dressing area was always known as the "pad room" thru all the years ending with Zack terrel Cole Bros. Arabian nights does a fine equestrian bareback act including bsomersaults, on pads and our Zamperla-Zoppe boys are great riders and just need to get themselves together. Its a joy to see them ride.
I guess these folks are from the
same Richter family that we had
on the Monte Carlo touring show
They were all great performers
& really nice folks as well
Horses & Elephants as I recall
