Alamo Photo Labs, in San Antonio, had a poster-sized black-and-white of Emmett,Jr., with his lanky face, and altogether copied makeup and wardrobe. I remarked that it was Junior, and the woman owner vehemently claimed it was Senior. On a subsequent visit, I brought the father's photo and pointed out the differences, which were lost on the woman. Except for the dimpled chin, father and son did not bear a close resemblance in or out of makeup.
As for the Willie instead of Weary Willie character names, when the story first broke on the wire services, Emmett Sr. lamented that his son had shamelessly stolen the entire persona, makeup, wardrobe, routines, character name, and all, even to the point of falsely announcing that his father had retired.

Might this be EK Jr hence the
title "Willie" instead of the
original "Weary Willie"
No, it's Sr....it's signed on the back
What year might this have been
