Buckles said...: Dick Lewis had a son about my age and when we showed around LA with the Cole Show in 1948 he would visit and we became friends.
One day his mother took me out to where they lived and I was mightily impressed. Their home and in fact the whole area seemed brand new.
To top it off, there was a park nearby with rides and games.

tanglefoot herriott said...: Great guy. did a table rock and went by stage name "rocko". died in fall from table onto concrete in San Antonio on opening night of the "Texas dates". very sad. Was a great "Dick smither" Loved the biz. and its people. Lots of fun in the dressing room. A little Irishman with lots of personality.
