Dropping down out of a tree, Tarzan proceeds to wrestle it to the ground. (Once again, where would the producers have found a trained wildebeest or gnu in Los Angeles? Did the Barnes Circus have one in its menagerie?) |

I don't have the answer to that question, but I can tell you that when I was teenager I was talking to a keeper in the Bronx Zoo who worked in the Antelope House and he told me he regarded the gnu as the most dangerous animal to work with as they were totally unpredictable and could disembowel you with one quick swipe of those sharp horns.

There were a number of fine taxidermy shop's in the LA area. I am sure the producer's didn't have a problem finding one for their production.
