Mr. Woodcock, I would like to contact Mr Perry, to help verify the arrival of one of my elephants that I believe is approximately 60 years of age. Her name is Arna. She was formerly with the Stardust circus. I'm sure he will know of her. Any help would be appreciated. I hope you and your family are in good health. Thanks in advance. Is this an extension facility of
the fantastic hillside Taronga Zoo
across the harbor from Circular
Quay in Sydney which is my very
favorite zoo worldwide
I'm guessing that Dubbo is in a
more rural part of NSW
Western Plains zoo was opened in 1977 as an open range zoo,the first of its kind in Australia. It is the sister zoo to Taronga governed under the same board.Visitors can ride pushbikes, walk or drive around the 800 acre property.Animals are exhibite in acreage in comparison to a metropolitan zoo.The zoo currently has 4 elephants, all female. One African and three Asian in their formative years.
Cheers
Glenn
Thanks Glenn
How far from Sydney is Dubbo
The Lone Pine Sanctuary in South
Queensland is another sprawling
facility that is also a terrific
place to wander among the many
indigenous inhabitants
Looking forward to getting back
down under some day
It's about 5 hours as the crow flies west.
Glenn
Well Glenn what if the crow is
walking & rolling a flat tire
This crow has been caught without fuel on an occasion in the middle of the night. Then had to suck it through a garden hose to siphon it from a helpful hand.Back in the day before electric/digital fuel gauges. That put another hour or so on the trip. Not had the flat, touch wood.
Glenn
I would enjoy meeting you Glenn
either here or there as you seem
to be a fun fellow (I am too)
If you ever make it to Oz,then give me an email.
