| Dreadful day yesterday. After recently taking a Stress Test, my Heart Doctor decided that I needed a closer examination, some sort of preceedure whereby a catheter is inserted into the groin area and extends up into the heart. I took off for the Brandon Hospital early for the Pre-Op driving through a tremendous storm and on arrival discovered all the Hospital Computers had been knocked out. What should have been a simple event dragged on all day. Late in the afternoon we finally came to the final ordeal, the Chest XRay. I soon learned that only one machine operated computer-free but no one knew how to make it work. At last a retired Hospital Worker was located and after another wait he arrived and the matter concluded. On my return home I found that the storm had knocked out the TV, the phone and of course the computer. Shannon couldn't make it here until this morning and now everything is back in working order. I have to return tomorow to get the proceedure completed, my only concern is I plan on taking Jamie and Kay to the Disney Ice Show on Friday. I should feel up to it OK. |

I'd have to say that if you were able to wake up this morning, you had enough of a stress test to confirm your rigid constitution! Thinking good thoughts for you, Captain. ~frank
Ah yes, The joys of hospitals, procedures, and , God help us, finding the right person.

Buckles,
If you get to feeling bad and get the misery and just do not have that vim or viger anymore.
I used to work for Dr. Xaviers medicine show in my younger days and I have on hand some tonic that cures all.
Dr. Xaviers kickapoo snake oil and indian exlicer of life that is 200 proof, guaranted to cure something.

I have been to 3 different hospitals
with heart problems in the last year.
#1 says you had a major heart attack, lose weight, slow down, PAY AS YOU LEAVE...
#2 says it's NOT SURE it's my heart,it " could be " something else. Really ! They also say PAY AS YOU LEAVE...
#3 says IT"S NOT MY HEART....PAY AS YOU LEAVE...
Now since I can't afford gas or food, I'm walking a lot more AND I'm losing weight !
Doctors are great ,just look how they helped me .... I feel much better
An unnamed source advised me to attend the Ice Show saying that if my heart can tolerate those concession prices it can withstand anything.
Had a cardiac cath last month to checkout a medical issue. I had some good stuff that put me in a"happy place." When I woke up Kathy told me the Dr. said I was in good shape for my age. I'd rather go to the ice show but it wasn't a big deal. Good luck.
I'm so tired of everything being followed by "for your age."
They say Frank Sinatra had the body of a twenty year old- waiting in his dressing room.
Good wishes to you, Buckles. I had two of those nuclear stress tests, and thought I wasn't coming out of that last one. But you're one up on me with the cath. Glad you came home OK. Stressful shows and concessions prices to avoid should be topped by the Gold unit.
I am sure you felt a hell of a lot better before you went for your test! Take care, Erik Jaeger
I hope everything works out for you-sounds like it was a really rough day!

I found a little plaque & posted it in the house:
"Old Age Comes At A Bad Time".
Good luck with all the tests - your heart is big enough to take a little abuse.
