Circus tickets for 75 cents

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is celebrating the 200th birthday of founder P.T. Barnum and the first birthday of Consol Energy Center by selling 200 tickets for each of its upcoming performances at the arena for 75 cents each — the ticket price when Barnum was born.The 200 seats are available only in person at the box office at Consol Energy Center on Aug. 18, the arena's first anniversary. "Barnum 200: The Biggest Birthday Bash in Circus History!" shows will be performed Nov. 2 through 6 at Consol.The box office will open at 9 a.m. Aug. 18, and customers can begin lining up at 7 a.m. People may buy up to six tickets for only one performance at the 75-cent price. There will be a 25-cent facility fee on each ticket.After all the 75-cent tickets are sold out, more tickets will be available for $10 on Aug. 18 only. Regular admission is $15 to $80.

I wonder if the 25 cent "facility fee" is anything like the "seat checks" sold by Jimmy Hamiter and Ira Watts in the connection squeeze with Kelly-Miller in the early 1950's?

I always liked the old Hospital Tax scam. Or during the War it was called a War Tax. What patriotic American would argue with that?
