The Corporation-owned Robinson show opened what was advertised as its "100th Annual Tour" in Marion on April 21, 1923 .
Gil Robinson attended to represent the family and a lot of attention was paid him.
The show was on 30 cars and primarily made up of the 1922 Gollmar Bros equipment as it was generally in better shape than that from the 1922 Robinson show. Gollmar had been wintering in Montgomery and had recently been brought to Peru to be "merged" into the Robinson show.
Danny Odom managed assisted by Sam B Dill. Featured cage act was mixed lions and tigers by Peter Taylor (Billboard said it was his first U S tour since 1919), Chubby Gilfoyle had lions and LaVerne Hauser leopards with a young Clyde Beatty working polar bears.
Eddie Woeckener had the band and Cheerful the herd. Riding act was the Rudynoffs with Slivers Johnson.
Bill Backell (who was still handling the Philadelphia snipe in the early 1960s) had the number one bill car.
