I remember seeing this act with zebra, great dane and elephant then named Eva at our local county fair with acts from Barnes-Carruthers of Chicago. It was unique, very well trained. Elephant beat drum with tail and turned organ grinder with trunk. My Dad talked about Max Gruber. Later act was with Tom Mix Circus and finally bought and presented by Bud E. Anderson on his circus and on fairs. johnny

I wonder what that tricycle was for. Surely too light weight for the elephant.

Tricycle's too small for the elephant and too big for the dog. Wish the zebra would move so we could read the words on the truck. Mr. Gruber was a fine trainer.and probably had the zebra on the bike.

Tricycles were used in a lot of animal acts. I've seen photos of lions and sea lions riding them. Too big a prop to be hauled around today - and probably some difficult training.

Trycycle looks wide enough for the elephant.Plenty room between wheels.tanglefoot

Tanglefoot gets my vote
At a closer look I lean towards a pachyderm's trike.
