According to David Lewis Hammarstrom’s book BIG TOP BOSS – JOHN RINGLING NORTH AND THE CIRCUS, DeMille shot performance footage of the Globe of Death as well as some of the other 1951 aerial turns like the Leoni sway-pole act, the Great Morituris, the Man in the Moon, etc. These scenes were not used because it was feared that they would upstage the aerial routines performed by Holly and Sebastian.
