CLYDE RAYMOND BEATTY June 10, 1903 - July 19, 1965 Clyde Beatty died on this date 46 years ago. As Dave Price has noted, he has now been gone for more years than his career spanned. Roger and Dave, thanks for the detailed information on Clyde Beatty. Unfortunately, I have only seen the late Mr. Beatty's act on film, but it certainly must have been an exciting cat act to watch! I have always found the 15 car show operation an intersting study, thanks again.

The anniversary snuck up on me this year.
It is nice to know that someone like Beatty could make such an impression on so many of us that we still memorialize him year after year. Dennis
The farthest back I can recall Beatty would have been mid to late 50's. I believe it was at the Bush Garden's grand opening on the Beatty Cole show lot. I recall Jack Joyce also being on the show and a new top.
Not trying to oneupmanship anybody, but I just read on Facebook that July 19, 2001 was the day that Gunther Gebel-Williams passed away. Is this correct?
Peter, the Baraboobian!
As readers have discovered, the arrival of my memorial is severely disordered. The information is there, but it is almost impossible to sort out. On my computer, it was lined up fine, but became scrambled in transmission. Whatever the cause, I own the result. My apologies for my telling lack of skill.
Yes Pete that is correct
