From Richard Flint #1

The original 1899 design posted earlier with Ada Castello’s name is clearly taken directly from this photograph once in the possession of the Castello family. Ada’s son Edward recollected years later that Jupiter w as “one of the best performing horses I’ve ever seen. That horse was a killer and he played havoc with anybody who tried to ride him. He raised himself on his hind feet continuously, so finally Father got the idea to train him to walk that way. You’ve seen plenty of circus horses do the same thing, but invariably they stagger forward. This horse was the only animal I’ve ever seen which could walk across a ring-curb on his hind feet, with my mother sitting on his back.”
