From Jerry Digney #8

Pat Valdo (in his 80s?) and Trolle Rhodin--60s Garden? Trolle was a true character, dapper dresser and great dinner companion! Also was the agile Euro talent scout for years for North and Feld.

Trolle came into the Ringling Park and filmed all our acts in 16mm.
I always wondred what became of that stuff.
That evening he took my wife and I to dinner in Orlando. First time I ever saw a credit card being used.
He asked the waiter if the tip was sufficient who replied, "Yes Sir!Thank you very much!
Even tho it was a Company Card he used it with great style.
20 years later I repeated this story to Kenny and he said that of all the cards issued, Trolle's expenses exceeded all the others combined.

I will always be grateful to

Victor Gaona for introducing me

to Trolle in 64 & it was Trolle

who was very instrumental in my

gaining a position with the show

My wife & I had the opportunity

to visit with the Rhodins at

their home in Malmo Sweden during

a few of our European excursions

They were also guests of ours

here in Sarasota

Most of the European acts that Trolle booked had to send a 10% commission to his mother in Malmo.

Trolle was totally against me when Irvin hired me, my wife, and our animal acts for RBBB because we were American and it would infringe on he getting European trainers, but after we got to know one another we became friends and assciates. One matinee in that horriblr Coliseum-ice arena in D C he walked up just returning from a trip somewhere and debonair as always he had a sport coat with an attractive little crest on the pocket. I pointed at it and said,"Is that your Swedish Coat Of Arms?" He immediately replied, "No I am the president of the Swedish Sexual Freedom League".What a comeback especially knowing him.

On opening night in the Garden Trolle was in my office when Kenneth walked in to check with me on some things. [Princess Grace was in attendence]. We talked and then he reached in his coat inside pocket and took out an envelope and said, "Here is your plane ticket for our trip" As he handed to Trolle he smugly remarked," We will be flying on the Concorde" and exited. Then Trolle looked at me with a smile and said, "I have already flown it two times."johnny
