From Jerry Digney #10

Those were the days: Monte Carlo 1978 with Princess Grace, Judges Cary Grant, Sean Connery and JR North (left of Cary Grant). An elegant experience I'll always remember--dinner with Telly Savalas, host
of the CBS TV Special of the Festival which the Felds produced. The Prince is talking to his sister, Princess Antoinette of Monaco, who, coincidentally, just died in May at the age of 90.

It was during this 5th annual

festival that we were establishing

all of the many details about the

touring M/C show that I designed

& supervised the construction of

There were quite a few elegant

meetings with our creative team

& the Prince's board of directors

The video crew that shot the TV

special (w/ Telly as host) also

was shooting much footage that

we had transferred to 35mm film

to run in segments during our

production on a giant screen in

the center of our proscenium

We had both 35mm film & slide

xenon projectors that could work

both front & rear screen based

on the space available

We opened this show on Tuesday

the 20th of February of 80 in

Providence during a severe cold

spell & our train cars that were

barely ready to go had all the

plumbing freeze as it hadn't had

the insulation sprayed on & we

all had to move to hotels

I still have many of the samples

& components & drawings

I'll send Buckles some photos
