In 1941, the Ringling blacksmith was responsible for tending to the needs of the show’s 180 horses and ponies in addition to making repairs to the iron work on wagon wheels, cages, tent rigging, etc.
That would work out to a 5 day shoeing week doing 5 head aday on a six week schedule...Pretty much what I like to do, now I like to only work 5 days aweek..:))
