Frank,
The first year that Ringling used the chimes on the aerial ballet webs was 1950. They were used again in 1951 with the pineapples. Then in 1953 they used them for the last time.
The 1950-51 version had 12 keys and then in 1953 they added three more keys.
I will send Buckles a photo of one of these chimes that I have in my collection.
