That looks like old time "catcher Dick Anderson"Anderson". What say? jackie. Johnny.
Also looks to be one of the first examples of product placement with the Coke cases behind Wilde. Joan Crawford ordered prominent placement of Pepsi on the set of "Berserk!"
Love the wooden cases of green
glass coke bottles (looks heavy)
Probably delivered by distributor
in each town & picked up empties
Is that red wigged clown wearing
a bendover costume
This small stack of cokes is for the backyard grease joint. The ones for the seats (small truck load) went to a separate tent for the butchers to ice down in large tubs of ice. One of the risks was reaching down into these large tubs and grabbing a broken bottle and cutting your hand. All the ice came in large blocks (150lbs) off the truck and were cut into 50lb blocks to be handled. They then had to be chipped down to smaller pieces for the tubs. Bottles would be broken when they dumped 100's of bottles at a time into these tubs.
Some how my comment did not get posted. That's computer technology. I will repeat my answer to Johnny. The trapeze man with Cornel is Jimmy Crocker. Jackie LeClaire
Yes, it is Flo White, but although I'll admit it looks like a bend over it was not, just an outlandish Drag. Jackie LeClaire
Jackie, you are right. I remember Jimmy as well. Both nice guys.
