Its too bad that such a sordid personal family history hangs over the Felds. We who worked for Irvin remember him as a great Showman that truly loved his circus and made sure that it was always "THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH". On every frquent visit to any of his shows he never failed to eit thru thge performance time after time. As a performancan director, personnel director he never suggested doing anything of an undesirable nature. We all heard rumours about his personal life, but he always conducted himself in a gentleman, sharp businessman andinterested in the well being of all his enpoyees. Since his passing it seems that those now in charge do not have the sincerety of being in charge of the great American institution know as and always was "THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH" They put on a cheap crappy show even tho the arte immensually wealthy. Thjere is no excuse for not having the Greatest acts on earth. They always did and the acts are out there. Just go to Vegas or any of the great European circuses, etc. Even our Amercan circuses have more talent. Too bad. James Bailey, The Ringlings, John North would turn in their graves to see the home grown crap the Feld Sisters come up with. I am happy that I once was with the GSOE. I would like to see them sell the show and get it back on track. They certainly can't pead poverty. Theer crcuses and Ice Shows are the ones without the stars, Too bad.johnny

I have attented every edition of RBBB since 1968, once flying down to Tampa to watch dress rehersals . I am sadden and emarrassed as a CFA member about the quality of the once GSOE. Kenneth is more interested in selling $15. programs, $8. boxes of popcorn and lighted swords then presenting a quality show. I have seen whole families get up and leave the show from boredom. A recent clown act was actually booed and heckled. Shame on the Fields. I wish they would sell the shows to someone who truly cares.

Although Karen is truly a most

despicable & certifiable loon

(& I know this 1st hand)

The 2 of them deserve each other

Irvin was a great showman who

cared about each of us as well

as the show he was so proud of

We are fortunate to have been

part of his accomplishments

Col. Herriott very accurately summed up the way I (and probably many of you) feel about today’s Ringling-Barnum Circus. (I chalk up the show’s current sorry state to the Felds’ apparent contempt for their audience and their own product.) Although a life-long circus fan, I have not been to see the show for many years and, despite the praise given to each new edition by the sycophantic circus fans, have no desire to see it while it is still being produced by the current management.

I immediately placed a call to Kenneth after reading the complete article this morning.
He needs to be reminded that the Attorneys fees will outweigh the damages not to mention a possible visit from Big Myron of the Jewish Mafia.
I'll then suggest settling out of court and then raising the price of floss ten per cent to off set the loss.
On second thought, make that an eleven per cent increase to allow for an additional five and a half mil for myself serving in this advisory capacity.
Wish me good luck!

Not an issue Buckles

His hatred of her is so great

& his desire for vengeance far

outweighs any & all legal fees

More than likely the attorneys

are on the corporate payroll

I guess we can both forget

this year's Christmas party

Be sure & let us know how you

make out with that consultancy

Interesting that this AP story

from last week has been popping

up in various papers all over

the country but not in Sarasota

They must be short of ink

Anonymous said...

Of course the local Sarasota papers are short of ink, as well as close to burning up the press's. What did you expect, Chic? By the time they got through covering the latest shenanigans and high jinks of Dick Garden, the staff barely has the strength to run daily want ads.

The Feld clan knows how to up the concession ante while paying a whopping commission of 5 cents per
program. And that is just programs. Shall we continue.

The most dangerous and high risk job at RBBB must be the guy who starts Kenneths car and his personal "food taster".

Once I found and read the whole article, some slack may be cut for Karen. If she indeed is a victim of Tourettte's syndrom, she cannot control the verbal and physical tics which cause outbursts that for the uninformed are offensive. Since this article suggests she is, Kenny has to know it. Yet, with physical marks in support of her, Karen claims he shows up at his aunt's shiva with thugs who comply with his commands to rough up his sister in a moment of illness.

Never have I heard excoriation directed to a woman as I did regarding Nicole. An insider told me one whole day of her raging tantrums, her grossly offensive remarks to employees at random, and the disgust that follows her as she stalks about the Feld holdings. This capacity, whether given a diagnostic definition or no, clearly runs in the family.

As does arrogance. When met with searing and accurate criticism, it is hardly possible to get past the position of the Felds that the Greatest Show on Earth is what the operators say it is. Such disregard for the audience was evident when blue jeans displace circus wardrobe, and their coliseum venues resemble abandoned warehouses.

They've had their years to disgrace three great names of circus, and the promise to the audience of the Greatest Show on Earth. The Felds should get out, and content themselves with shows where audiences traditionally expect less.

U.S. District Judge Ellen Huvelle ruled Monday that Kenneth Feld can seek punitive damages against his sister for trespassing, even though he is not seeking compensatory damages..
..Shame on both of them..Nothing should come between siblings, especially money..if my brothers and sisters sued each other every time we cussed each other out,the lawyers would be rich..LOL..Get over it and at least keep your fueds out of the papers..

I only saw Karen Feld one time, it was at the Forum in LA in 1978.
We were waiting behind the curtain when Charly Baumann took me aside and pointed her out seated with a group in front of the center ring.
Of course I saw her quite a few times on TV during the Clinton-Lewensky era representing some magazine "Solon?"

Chic Silber said...

Karen is a total fraud & a chronic

hypochondriac for much of her life

She is a vicious vindictive tramp

ADA had allowed her & many others

to falsely claim the need for a

companion "service" animal as

there is no formal requirement

I recall her going to great

lengths to embarrass her father

shortly after the Felds took over

I have had a few run-ins with her

over the years & I know of many

she had with prominent people

You are wrongly taken in Roger

Humm, good point. That might be the same reason why some people are able to call themselves "Animal trainers?"

I'm not exactly taken in, Chic. The Tourette's possibility was in the article, and I gave it fair consideration. On a city bus in San Antonio, I got between a driver and a woman whose verbal tics were in full evidence. He was about to red light her on a dark street until I got through to him that this was a harmless illness, however offensive on the surface.

Thankfully, I don't know these women. If the behaviours of Karen and Nicole are not explained by illness, and are driven purely by calculated meanness, this, from experience of my own, I understand.

Yes Roger the AP article did lend

some credibility to her story so

it's easy to see how you felt

The airlines have raised the cost

of taking pets on flights both in

the cabin or loaded as frieght

However many many folks have

learned the gimmick of the ADA

non regulation of "service" pets

& are skunking the system
